Victoria Meng was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and immigrated to the US in 1988. She received her BA in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard-Radcliffe, volunteered in the Xining Children's Home in 2000-2001 with support by the Frederick Sheldon Prize, and received her PhD from Cinema and Media Studies from UCLA in Fall 2008. Her documentary and experimental films have been screened in Cambridge, MA and Los Angeles, CA. Meng is currently a lecturer at Arizona State University where she teaches courses on film, digital media, and animation.

Research Interests


Animation studies, Chinese cinemas, new media, fan studies, and experimental/alternative cinema programming.
