iotaSalon July 18th, 2011

Celestial Dance
Bill Alves

Dimension: iotaSalon 7.11

Monday, July 18th at 7:30PM - Free!

Distance, spatial relation, parallax, form, body. An evening spent on spatial dimensions, shape and how we perceive them. We have both 2D artwork and 3D stereoscopic work that will be displayed. Come to discuss the difference in our perception of these two art forms. What makes it possible to understand shape in a 2D image? How are we able to see 3 dimensions from simply putting on glasses? Learn the answers to this and much more.

This Salon will be our first time at the wonderful Mandrake Bar near our home in Culver City; 2692 S La Cienega Blvd (between Venice Blvd and Washington Blvd).

Directions: From the 10 take the La Cienega Blvd exit and take La Cienega Blvd South and it will be on your left side a very short distance after you cross Venice.
