Artist's Profile: Vibeke Sørensen

Moritz, William



Vibeke Sørensen is widely known as an innovative artist working with video, film, computer graphics, animation systems and electronic musical instruments. Her award-winning work has been shown internationally on television, in galleries, in museums and in live performances. Sørensen taught video and computer art at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, before heading the computer graphics program at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Between 1984 and 1994 she taught at the California Institute of the Arts and Princeton University. She is currently a Zumberge Fellow and Professor of Animation in the School of Cinema- Television at the University of Southern California.
