Edmonton, Canada,
Wendy Tilby attended
the Emily Carr College of Art
& Design in Vancouver, where she made
her acclaimed student film TABLES OF CONTENT.
She joined the NFB in 1987 under a program established
to encourage promising young animators. Her film STRINGS won
many prizes, including Best Canadian Film at Ottawa, Best Film in
Category at Hiroshima, a Genie Award and an Academy Award® nomination.
Tilby teaches at Concordia University in Montreal and is an associate of
Acme Filmworks in L.A. She is currently completing a film tentatively
titled WHEN THE DAY BREAKS.
