Film/Video Submission Guidelines

The iotaCenter welcomes donations of abstract film and video works to be included in our media collection. All materials are non-circulating and can only be viewed on-site at our Study Center in Culver City, CA. unless the artist indicates otherwise (see #7 below)

If you would like to submit a DVD, please follow the steps below to help us catalog your work and announce your donation on the iota Blog:
  • Send an email to info@iotacenter.org and include the following information:
      1. Your name, address and email address.
      2. The URL of your website if you have one.
      3. If sending a compilation of works, the title of the compilation
      4. Then, for each work on the DVD, include:
            ...Title of work
            ...Release date
            ...Running time
...Credits for both image and sound.
      5. A one paragraph description of the DVD
      6. Attach a jpeg file: either the image of the DVD cover or
a still from one of the works
      7. Also, what is your intention for the work?
That is, in addition to being added to the study center collection,
would you also like to see it:
...included in one of iota's public screenings?
          ...screened at an iota salon?
...offered for sale in iota's store?

    1. Print out the above email (except for the attached jpeg) and send it with a copy of your DVD to iota's mailing address:

      The iotaCenter
      10401-106 Venice Blvd. #330
      Los Angeles, CA 90034

And, of course, as always, if you have any questions, just send us an email at info@iotacenter.org (but please don't ask for our opinion of your work, as we don't have the resources to write a review of each submission).
Thank you.

My camera is an inner camera which doesn't do very well when it points out at external reality. I'm trying to focus on something and bring it back alive from the uncharted areas of the inner image, inner space.
