Jules Engel Project
Jules Engel, the beloved educator who founded and directed the Experimental Animation program at The California Institute of the Arts, was also a major figure in the field of abstract animation. Before his death in 2003, Engel left all his film materials to iota for preservation and future distribution. Currently in the works is a biography and documentary by Janeann Dill.
